Why Monthly WordPress Maintenance?

For many reasons, it makes sense to have someone on your side for your wordpress website. Think about it – right now, when something goes wrong on your website, what do you do?

Maybe you spend hours Googling with no luck? Then you visit all the FaceBook groups you are in and ask questions – and get a mix of answers. Then you are left confused, tired and possibly with a site that doesn’t work.

And a site that doesn’t work = no money in your pocket. Not good.

This is the reality of having a website – there will be issues you run into. Bad things can happen online – security issues (redirections to dodgy websites included), errors or conflicts with plugins, theme updates going wrong, you get the picture. You absolutely need to have backups stored remotely to ensure if these things occur and your site goes down – you can restore it (i.e. get it back as it was!).

This side of things can be daunting, we get it, so a lot of people just ignore it thinking they will get to it “one day”. But if that “one day” doesn’t happen and you run into issues, you could spend A LOT of time trying to get your site back up – speaking to your web host provider, dealing with different people who don’t know or care much about your site, your budget or your sanity.

Worst case scenario you could lose your site entirely. Eeek!

But don’t worry about that now – you’re here, which means it won’t happen to you. Our Monthly WordPress Maintenance Services takes care of plugin and theme updates, backups, site performance and security. We manage of all the back-end stuff so you can rest easy everything is under control.

Part of the service is having support, so if you have any concerns you can drop us a line and we’ll provide you with genuine, honest feedback (because hey, we care!). If the query is something that requires work to be completed, we can help you at affordable rates and provide fixed price quotes before going ahead.

Imagine having one point of contact for all your queries, support and advice. Sounds good huh?

Let me take care of all the behind the scenes work so you can focus on what you love!

I’m not convinced – is WordPress Maintenance worth my money?

Honestly, if you have a reputable webhost (with livechat), you have automated backups that run weekly and are stored remotely, you have strong admin log ons, you run your updates weekly and in the right order and you have security scans – you probably don’t need this service (but please, save our details in case you ever do!).

If you don’t, then just know not carrying out updates on WordPress sites is one of the main security risks and opens the door for hackers.

If it seems far-fetched your site could be hacked, it honestly isn’t:

According to WP White Security, more than 70% of WordPress installations are vulnerable to hacker attacks and the total number of hacked WordPress websites in 2012 was a whopping 170,000. This figure is growing every year.

We aren’t saying that to scare you into signing up. It’s becoming so common we created the “Have you been Hacked” service for our clients!

So yes – we think it’s worth it. Implementing these measures now could save you money down the track. Having one trusted point of contact can also save you money on general issues or changes you may have for you site. Even simple things like setting up an email subscriber form on your site can cost you more than it should if you contact the wrong person.

How do the Monthly WordPress Maintenance plans work?

Select either a monthly or yearly payment option and select “Save me now” – you will be directed to a contact form. We will get in touch and get you officially signed up. After that, we install any plugins for security and backup and set up any third party tools required to get everything going. We run a security scan and carry out any updates required. We also let you know if we see anything “interesting” we think you might need to know about.

We carry out updates weekly and keep an eye on the backups and security scans.

Then if you ever need anything WordPress related, just ask. And that’s it.

A simple solution to your wordpress maintenance issues.
