Quill Engage: free Google Analytics reports sent to your inbox – all the info is summarised in an easy to read format!
How Many Shares: plug in your specific URL and find out how many social shares your post has received!
Wisestamp: create super slick email signatures – first one is free :)
Email Obfuscator Tool: a tool to change your email address so you don’t get spammed!
Trello: a great tool to organise your to do lists and projects – easy to use and free! I LOVE THIS!!!
ODesk: to find great virtual assistants to help you with one off projects or ongoing work.
Unroll Me: enter your email address to find out what you are subscribed to and easily unsubscribe!
IFTTT: create “recipes” for different actions to save you time – for example, if you post to Instagram, save the photo to dropbox. Lots of very cool ideas!
Tools & Resources
Chupamobile: purchase app code you can customise (well, probably use a third party to!) and use for your own applications.
Como: create apps for your site very, very easily (no coding required!). Monthly fee charged for the service.
Domains & Hosting
Net Origin: a Perth based company that is a great affordable option for hosting, they offer great pricing and excellent support.
WP Engine: dedicated wordpress hosting of a very high standard, a higher price than Bluehost but worth it if you can afford it.
Design (and Print, Branding etc)
If you are looking for a logo, facebook cover, website…anything design, there are plenty of great resources to find what you need (at a price you can afford!). Some options are: Etsy, Fiverr, 99 Designs, Pick Crew…to name a few!
Moo: for business cards and other small print jobs.
Creative Market: for awesome downloads of different fonts, themes, photos and graphics. Lots of freebies!
Stickermule: yes you heard me. A great site for custom stickers.
No Hassle Website: A site that builds websites for $99!
Email – Building subscribers
Hello Bar: super easy to set up and manage, this tool lets you design a header for the top of your site to capture emails. Free option available (which works very well!). Allows you to see your views, sign ups and carry out split testing.
Optin Monster: a paid service where you can create sign up forms for your sidebar, end of blog posts, pop ups etc. Easy to set up and manage and really does work!!
Email – Managing Mailing Lists and Sending Newsletters
Mailchimp: very easy to use, free (to a certain level), create autoresponders and other cool time saving, list building features!
Free Images (Creative Common Zero)
Image Editing/Creating Graphics, Ebooks, flyers etc
Canva: I love this site for anything “design” – create blog graphics, facebook posts, write ebooks – anything! Very easy to use.
Snappa – a new tool in beta stage I’m just starting to use – great filter affects and icons – so far so good!
Sketchdeck – submit your project and budget and have it designed for you.
Chrome extension – quickly format pages from your site to pull together a very fast ebook/cheat sheet!
Zapier – heaps of great zaps to integrate so many programs (xero, mailchimp, google docs etc etc). These zaps can make your life a whole lot easier!

Social Media Tools
CoSchedule: an awesome tool for scheduling blog posts and content on social media (excluding Pinterest). Very easy to use and great analytics!
Tailwind: for Pinterest scheduling – another one of my FAVOURITE tools. Allows you to schedule pins easily and if you purchase the paid version they can even recommend the best times to pin!
Facebook Debugger: if you’re having problems with a post that isn’t showing the correct image or description, try this!
Market Samurai: a great (paid) tool for keyword research. Very detailed, does take a bit of training to work out how to use it properly! Not needed for blogging (unless you want to go to that level!), more suited to someone looking to target certain niches or grow search traffic in specific areas.
Moz: a paid research tool.
Google Adwords: a free keyword research tool – you don’t need an add to use it.
Google trends: for finding out hot topics online.
SERPS Rank Tracker: for checking your rankings for keywords.
Hittail Pro: another great keyword tool and very useful for monitoring your site, keyword rankings and ways to improve.
Moz Toolbar: add to your browser for easy access!
Moz Open Site explorer: find our your google page rank and inbound/outbound links.
Site Performance & Usability
YSlow: analyse your website performance (how fast does it load – no one likes a slow website!)
Peek: free user testing – submit your site and someone will review and send you a video report!
Recordit: to create GIF’s quickly and easily!
Screenflow: by Telestream, easy to produce great quality videos!
Working with Brands/Writing Opportunities
Social Callout: helps you connect with brands – set up a profile and be notified of any opportunities within your niche.
Source Bottle: connects “sources” with journalists and bloggers. If you need an expert source for an article you can place a call out for submissions or you can be notified of writing opportunities within your niche.
The Brand Magnet: professional media kit design you can purchase and customise to your brand.
WP Curve: unlimited wordpress support for small jobs for a monthly fee (and you can cancel anytime). I’ve used them and they were so helpful!
Kitedish: I haven’t used them myself, but have heard good things about them.
WP Site Care: same as Kitedish!
Restored 316: I love all their themes and recommend using them for set ups. They are super easy to customise and very stylish too!
